On Wednesday 24th March at 18:00 – 19:30, the Belgian virtual multi-stakeholder event of Blood and Beyond has taken place. This event is part of the Blood and Beyond initiative and aims to increase awareness on optimal blood management and to reduce dependence on blood transfusion from an individual, societal and economic perspective. The multi-stakeholder event brought together Belgian policy makers, patients, relevant medical professional associations and healthcare workers with the overarching goal to help advance policies and practices that improve blood transfusion outcomes.
