On 5 December, from 12:30 to 14:30 CET, the Thalassemia International Federation (TIF), with support from Chiesi Global Rare Diseases and Pharmacosmos, is organising an educational webinar focused on the monitoring of iron load in the heart and liver in the management of transfusion-dependent thalassaemia. The webinar is oriented towards healthcare professionals to provide an opportunity to gain a better understanding of best practices in addressing transfusion-dependent thalassaemia.

A previous webinar, held on 21 November by TIF’s Pan American Network for Haemoglobin Disorders, devoted attention to iron toxicity and how to address iron toxicity as presented in patients with haemoglobinopathies.
