MEP Sokol submits Question on Blood Health to European Commission

Following the election of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) for the 2024 – 2029 European Union political term and the subsequent installation of the new Parliament, Blood and Beyond has actively been pursuing outreach to and engagement with MEPs from different political groups to advance the cause of blood health in Europe.

Following this engagement in recent weeks, MEP Tomislav Sokol (EPP, Croatia), who previously co-hosted the workshop on innovation in the blood sector that was organised in the Parliament in May 2023, has submitted  a Parliamentary Question to the European Commission on “Promoting better blood health through the systematic implementation of Patient Blood Management”.

The European Commission will have to provide an answer to this parliamentary question in the next weeks.
