Making patient blood management the new norm(al) as experienced by implementors in diverse countries

A recent article by Prof A. Hofmann, Prof D. Spahn, Prof A-P. Holtorf and colleagues analyses the experiences of a diverse group of PBM implementors across twelve countries, which concur on the value of PBM in improving patients’ outcomes. These examples illustrate recommendations for the implementation of Patient Blood Management (PBM) in diverse health care systems put forward by the authors.
