The Commission launched a public consultation and a targeted consultation on the revision of the EU Blood, Tissue and Cells directive. The aim of these is to collect views and opinions on the proposed policy options. The public consultation is open to any individual or organisation that would like to provide input on the revision. The targeted consultation is addressed to organisations directly involved in or affected by the directive, thus knowledgeable about the legal framework. The two consultations will close on the 15^th April 2021. Further, the Commission will organise meetings with stakeholder organisations to gather additional evidence.
