On the 9^th March, the European Parliament adopted the EU4Health programme for 2021-2027, which focuses on improving the health system response to future health threats. The adopted EU4Health programme is particularly relevant for the blood ecosystem, as it will promote sustainable and safe supplies of substances of human origin. Further, the programme will accelerate the scaling up and deployment of health innovations in healthcare systems and clinical practices.
