From 13 to 16 June, the European Hematology Association (EHA) organized its Congress in Madrid (Spain). The Congress, which comprised a variety of sessions, devoted attention to topics that included haemostasis, thrombosis, haematological malignancies, transfusion medicine, as well as stem cell transplantation. At the Congress, the Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF) was presented with the HemaSphere Award for its contribution to furthering scientific knowledge in haematology through its publication, “2021 Thalassaemia International Federation Guidelines for the Management of Transfusion-dependent Thalassemia”.
